I stayed a week at EH and couldn't have been happier. The property looks like a postcard (I can not overstate this. The beauty of it all actually made me cry!) and the inside has been perfectly redone by one of the interior designer owners. This is a LUXURY country inn with extremely comfortable beds, beautifully designed rooms (mine had heated floors and a bathtub looking out a picture window to the forest and a fireplace with a fire prepped with kiln dried wood and ready to go each evening with just 1 match, and my very own rocking chair on the porch.) The Lounge area looks straight out of the pages of a magazine and has darling conversational seating all in front of a gorgeous large fireplace.The whole process from scheduling to checkout was enjoyable. I started with the Jesse helping with booking and offering suggestions of what to do and where to eat. He was the consummate professional with a very friendly demeanor. I was immediately introduced to the property manager, Jesse, upon my arrival and I have to say, felt very cared for and doted on by her and her wonderful husband Erik throughout my trip. They are the very best!!! Charles, staffing the cozy tavern downstairs, was a doll and made the best craft cocktails. I had a wonderful breakfast (included with the price of my stay) made to order on the gorgeous patio overlooking a pond, forest, horse stables, and majestic mountains in the background and the smell of wood smoke in the air. The dining room is stunning as well and the food was absolutely scrumptious. I am a foodie and this is definitely on of the best restaurants in Stowe. I met many other people who had come just to eat there including a pair of friends who had come up from New York and were staying at the supposed top rated place in Stowe and they couldn't understand why this place isn't in the #1 spot. I can't either!!! This was honestly one of the best places I have ever stayed and I can't wait to go back. I have stayed all over the world and there aren't many places I would actually stay again. You won't be disappointed!
Such an amazing place to stay. We spent three nights here in early August. Our room was in one of the immaculately clean cabins away from the main house. Our stay was very relaxing as the surroundings were as quiet as they were beautiful. We enjoyed walking to the main house for breakfast each day, which was delicious and made to order. The location of the Inn was also ideal. We chose to do very little, but there were many options nearby for anyone looking to stay active. We felt very pampered by our stay at Edson Hill. We would definitely stay there again.
We spent a lovely week at Edson Hill in September. The décor is beautiful, the accomadations are comfortable and the view is wonderful. They have an excellent cuisine and a nicely decorated dining room. We'll go back again many times!
