Delicious food with hearty portions...all served with a smile and great personality. So glad we're staying at Golden Eagle Resort.
There were only 3 tables including us, but the waitress routinely screwed up our order and didn't seem to care. The prices were outrageous compared to other local (and better) spots. And the food that came out was sub-par at best. For example, I ordered the sausages and asked if they were local. I was told they were. What I got was obviously frozen, nothing special, and worst of all- raw in the middle! Others in my party didn't fare much better.
We had Breakfast this morning at the Colonial Cafe and the experience was underwhelming to say the least. The wait to get seated took forever (no other people were waiting) and then the four of us were placed at a table right by the kitchen door. The server did not come to our table for at least 10 minutes. We finally ordered our breakfast. It again took a very long time to finally arrive at our table. When I unwrapped my cutlery, the fork was covered with hardened egg yolk! The food was very good, however, two of the breakfasts ordered were to have included cheese and there was none. Not what I would refer to as a stellar experience.
I took my family here based on the high reviews. Was that ever a mistake! We went on a Monday morning, so maybe we just got the B Squad all around.
Nice spot for a down to earth breakfast served by a friendly staff.
Relaxing breakfast. Inside or outside seating in the sun or shade, can get food to go. Been coming here for years and always great. Muffins are homemade daily and delish!
